“Djieuwke” sails on the low basin of de Overwaard in Kinderdijk and can dock at the central parking, the visitor's mill and the Wisboom pump house. This means it is a very suitable transfer between the respective sites to visit, especially for less active people.
50 Persons can come along. We sail really close along the eastern 8 world famous mills and can point out all details to you. With larger groups we rotate programs. See the standard group excursions.
The handpainted tabledecks, entertaining presentation on board and coffee and speculaas or stroopwafels on board, make for a genuine dutch experience for everyone!
All windows open when the sun shines, which gives you a really close feeling to the water hens, the herons, carp and pike! and the millers and in winter the heating can be turned on. So we can also sail in winter, with a hot chocolate or peasoup at hand. In winter the visitor's mill is open in weekends from 11 -16, so we can also offer you a beautiful complete excursion then!

The waterbus is a public transport service over water between Rotterdam Erasmusbridge and Dordrecht. In between docks Papendrecht, H.I. Ambacht, Alblasserdam, Ridderkerk and Krimpen aan de IJssel are situated.
Every half and whole hour the ferries depart from Rotterdam and Dordrecht; Rotterdam - Alblasserdam takes about 35 minutes and to Dordrecht it is only 15 minutes even.
In winterweekends only “whole hour-services”. You have to pay cash on the boat, there is no possibility for bank cards. With public transport chipcard you can also use this ferry. The bike can come with you for free, ideal for a daytour through the Alblasserwaard-windmilldistrict ánd the Biesbosch-delta. More info available on waterbus.
From dock Alblasserdam special waterbus packages are put together for groups ánd individual visitors:
